Yeadon Fire Company is just returning to service after being dispatched on the working fire to assist co. 77 (Darby twp) Ladder and engine 16 responded and arrived as the first due truck and second in engine. Ladder 16 assisted with primary searches and overhaul while Engine 16 secured a secondary water supply and took the second due engine responsibility.

A two-story twin residence at 190 Parker Pl. recently experienced a fire, with Engine 16 of the Yeadon Fire Company responding to discover smoke emanating from division two and the roof. The crew effectively deployed their 1-3/4 hand line to extinguish active flames and warmth pockets within a front bedroom space, eliminating any remaining threats posed by this blaze.

At around 6:00 am today, Yeadon Fire Company responded to a distress call concerning a vehicle fire on the 800 block of Cypress Street. While en route, Fireboard, the dispatcher, informed Engine 16 that the caller had reported that the blaze was spreading rapidly towards nearby buildings and thus upgraded it as an assignment for building fires requiring immediate attention.

Last night Yeadon Fire Company responded to Sharon Hill Borough to assist Sharon Hill Fire Company - Station 9 with working fire with entrapment. Ladder 16, Squad 16, and Engine 16 responded simultaneously. Upon arrival, assisted with fire suppression and secondary searches. Company remained on scene for about two hours before returning to home.

At 6:31 pm Yeadon Fire Company was dispatched to the 400 block of Holly Road for the reported dwelling fire. Engine and Squad 16 made the response with Engine 16 arriving on location first. Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital Medics had arrived on location and determined the driver of an SUV on its side was entrapped.
